League Assistant uses Microsoft's® Access database engine League Assistant is built on top of Microsoft's® Access for Windows 95/97 database engine. League Assistant does not lock you into a seldom used or proprietary database format. There are millions of Access users around the world. Also, with League Assistant you can connect your league's database to Microsoft's® Office for Windows 95/97 applications.
License to freely copy and distribute League Assistant to other volunteers in your organization After purchasing League Assistant you may freely distribute League Assistant to anyone within your organization.
Template databases help get you started Little League®, soccer, basketball, and an "empty" generic database are provided. Demonstration database (TU_DEMO.MDB) allows you to experiment with and learn about League Assistant.
Example forms merged (via Microsoft Office 95®) to the database Sponsor solicitation and acknowledgment letters; managers, coaches, and adult volunteers "thank you" letters; uniform size; and sample registration forms. By using these forms you will minimize the amount of time you spent composing letters and preparing for player registration. Note: if your league does not use Microsoft Office 95/97 you can still use the example forms with WordPad. However, you will not be able to merge the database information with them.
Online HelpHelp is available on all League Assistant forms and menu items. In addition, Help contains overviews of all of League Assistant's features. With League Assistant, help is only a keystroke <F1> or click away.
ReportsListings of players (several formats), teams, adult volunteer "help" areas, members listings, sponsors, umpires, and board members. Also, League Assistant prints mailing labels for active and/or inactive players and volunteers in your organization.
Import and export information from/to other popular databases You can import Little League® player information directly into League Assistant. League Assistant also has a limited capability to import data from other popular database formats.

Lower level database utilities are integrated into League Assistant This set of lower level utilities allows you to query and update your database in many additional ways. The utilities are infrequently used, however they are there should the need arise.
Active and inactive record selection range for players, managers/coaches, and umpires League Assistant allows you to maintain active and inactive players, sponsors, umpires and adult volunteers in your database. This allows you, for example, to include inactive players in your league announcement mailings. Also, it reduces your data entry time in the event the player registers in a future season since the player can be easily reactivated.
Organization information Information maintained via the organization form: organization name, address, phone number, notes, and date used for determining a player's age.

The organization form also allows you to specify the city, state, and zip code to automatically insert onto the data input screens whenever a new player or volunteer is added to the database.

Another feature of League Assistant allows you to tailor the "miscellaneous" data fields on League Assistant's input forms. This allows you to have fields in the database that are unique to your organization.

Player information Name, address, phone, birthday, "grandfathered age" (if needed), uniform sizes and turn in status, team and division assignment, notes, miscellaneous league defined fields, parent's name and volunteer roles.
Manager and Coach information Name, address, phone, notes, uniform size, division and team assignment, miscellaneous league defined fields and coaching experience.
Sponsor information Name, contact person name and title, address, phone, notes, miscellaneous league defined fields and team assignment.
Umpire information Name, address, phone, notes, uniform size and miscellaneous league defined fields.
